Definitions and samples
- process (n.) a series of steps leading to a result
– The sixth-grade students have started the process of writing a persuasive essay.
- recline (v.) lean or lie back in a relaxed position with the back supported
– Near the end, four dancers recline on the floor and dangle their legs in unison.
- agile (adj.) able to move quickly and easily; deft and active of body or mind; 2. keen and lively (of mind)
– The comedian was agile of mind as he moved from one quip seamlessly to the next.
- agreement (n.) being in harmony or accord; an understanding between two parties; a contract
– If we reach an agreement, let’s say three months’ rent, can I rent it out sooner?
- ailment (n.) disease; illness; any mental or physical disorder, especially a mild but persistent one
– He was then sent on a rather painful five-month journey to diagnose the ailment.
