Definitions and samples
- inherent (adj.) naturally characteristic; always found within something, because it’s a basic part of that thing
– Either way, we would lose civilian lives, it’s an inherent disadvantage of wars.
- inhabit (v.) live in or occupy (a place or environment)
– The environment you inhabit has a powerful affect on the way you think and feel.
- responsible (adj.) having an obligation to do something, or having control over or care for someone, as part of one’s job or role.
– We’re each responsible for taking charge and making things happen for ourselves.
- ample (adj.) sufficient, enough or more than enough
– The house features hardwood floors, granite countertops and ample storage space.
- comprise (v.) to consist of, include; be made up of
– The cutting garden may comprise a herb garden and ornamental vegetables as well.
