- diverse (n.) various; showing a lot of differences within a group
– The diverse population directly results in the rich variety of languages heard.
- corpse (n.) a dead body, usually of a person
– I did not hear the shot but I saw his uncovered corpse when the door was opened.
- affront (n.) an insult
– But he did suggest that the play had caused some affront in the local community.
- realistic (adj.) having to do with real life or with likely results
– Remember to be realistic about what can be achieved within the given time frame.
- affable (adj.) friendly, personable, easy to get along with
